Forty one years ago, we found ourselves in the hospital for months waiting for our first born children. We developed a close friendship. After our children were born, we would spend hours on the phone. They were late night calls, (I was on a party line) so after my neighbours were tucked into bed we had a private line. I will dearly miss my friend, I will cherish my memories.

My prayers and blessings are for her daughter, son, husband and grandkids. I worked with Chris for only 6 months in 2015. I now know the hilarious quote she lived by which is (and most who know her remember) "When Purple Pigs Fly". When I saw her license plate and letters I laughed to myself and with Chris. She shared with me stories of her children and grandkids and love that will stay with me now. I thank her for that and for her Ukrainian spirit! My heart knows she is well in the spirit world she entered.

Condolence: I am so very saddened by Chris's passing. I will certainly miss our daily work chats about everyday life, both past and present, mundane or meaningful. Her empty desk chair, where she sat just two short weeks ago - will serve as a poignant reminder of shared moments I will remember fondly. As my heart breaks, I can only imagine the pain her family must feel. To them, I can only say how very much she loved you, and how very proud she was of her children and grandchildren. When mamas work together - their favorite topics of discussion include kids and grandkids. She just beamed when she talked about all of you.
